GetArcan is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (and don't collect) when you visit getarcan.dev and use the Arcan software.

The short version: we do not collect personal data.

2. Website Data Collection

The getarcan.dev website does not:

  • Use cookies of any kind
  • Use analytics services (Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.)
  • Use tracking pixels, beacons, or fingerprinting
  • Require or offer user account creation
  • Collect IP addresses, device info, or browser details

The website is a static informational site. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted when you visit it.

3. Self-Hosted Software

Arcan is a self-hosted platform. All data processed by the software (secrets, configurations, audit logs, user records) is stored entirely on your own infrastructure. GetArcan has no access to, visibility into, or control over data stored in your Arcan installation.

The Arcan software does not phone home, send telemetry, or communicate with GetArcan servers.

4. Documentation Site

The documentation at docs.getarcan.dev is built with Docusaurus and may use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). This is stored locally in your browser and is never transmitted to any server. No tracking or analytics are present on the docs site.

5. GitHub and Third-Party Links

The website and documentation contain links to GitHub and other third-party services. When you follow those links, you are subject to the privacy policies of those services. GetArcan has no control over the data collection practices of third parties.

6. GDPR Compliance

Because we do not collect, process, or store any personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, delete, or port. We have no GDPR data processing obligations for this website.

That said, GetArcan is fully committed to privacy as a core value. If we ever introduce features that involve personal data (such as a newsletter or contact form), we will update this policy and ensure full compliance with GDPR and applicable privacy regulations before collecting any data.

If this privacy policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Because we currently collect no data, changes are unlikely but will be communicated clearly if they occur.
